I bought a roll of Ektar out of a desire for something new, and it delivered on everything I expected it to and more. The rich tones and hues make it my new preferred Kodak stock of choice, and one I will be coming back to again and again.

Bright daytime light for landscapes? Ektar 100 is the best choice!

Ektar 100 is my absolute favorite color negative film. The colors and the grain are unmatched by anything other than slide film. The only downside is that it’s A bit finicky to develop at home. You need to have almost completely fresh chemicals, otherwise it’s just better to send it to a lab

Ektar is great, the contrast is really high and colors pop. It's not a very forgiving film, however, so do read up before you head out and start shooting. You want to be careful with your exposure (more than when you're shooting Gold or Portra for example) especially in harsh light or in situations where the contrast is naturally high. And if you're developing at home, you want FRESH developer or you'll get a blue-cast and/or funky colors.
