Long time affectianado of this film stock. I've always been pleasantly surprised at its fine grain for 400 and I love the low end shadow detail retained with this film. I typically shoot moodier underexposed if anything images with metering being mostly for highlights and this stock works for me. Great on skin tones of all kind too.

Extra sharp, contrasty B&W images but the price is now double the other good B&W new-comer stocks on the market. However, Kodak film always handles the best while scanning. Just be sure and note the developing times as they aren't the same as other film.

What else can be said? One of the finest black and white films out there, and great contrast too! Makes for solid professional shots. I do like grain, but there are applications when the sharpness of T-Max is needed and wanted. Highly recommended for that, but Tri-X also shines when you want more grain. If I had to choose, honestly I prefer Ilford Delta 400, that stock always shines, but T-Max is unique in how crispy and grainless the shots look if you want that kinda imagery.
