I’ve always been a fan of Ilford HP5 and Cinestill BWXX, but have heard nothing but good things about kentmere 400 so I decided to finally buy a roll. I understand why so many people love it. It has great latitude and is very well balanced, similar to HP5. The biggest standout to me though is the price! In a world where buying film is so expensive, I think I paid $7.00 for a roll from Reformed Film Labs… what an incredible film for $7!!

This is a good inexpensive film. Haven’t had a chance to shoot more than one roll, but it pushed to 1600 with no issues at all

It's hard to beat the Kentmere 400 in terms of value. Despite being a budget/consumer film, I've gotten nice results that are contrasty and sharp enough for larger prints. While I do enjoy pricier Ilford and Kodak films too, I almost always have a roll of kentmere kicking around. I treat it as a great everyday film and shoot it without overthinking or overcomplicating my process.

Great value. I have been shooting with Ilfords HP5 for some time and wanted to see how the new Kentmere films performed. Loved the results and will continue shooting with there products. Would like to see a 4x5 in the future.
