I've shot 3 rolls so far and developed 2 and they have canned out amazing!

Kodak's Gold 200 in 120 format is a welcome addition to medium format photographer's arsenal. The colors are warm and vibrant as one would expect from Gold 200 and the photos are sharp and crisp. The price point is also very attractive for those who are experiencing the pain of the recent price hikes on their favorite Portra films. I cannot recommend Gold 200 120 enough.

The release of Kodak Gold 200 in medium format this year (2022) was a delightful surprise, especially for those who have shot the venerable Gold 200 in 35mm in the past. The film retains all the characteristics of its 35mm sibling including the warm tones that it is known for. It renders colors very well without being over-saturated. Of course, being a medium format film its grain is almost nonexistent. I shot one roll in a Yashica D and a second roll in a Mamiya Super 23 with a 6x9 film back. Both rolls were shot outside on sunny days. The results were quite pleasing. The price point is probably the best news with it being less than $10 a roll.

I was so excited to try out this film and it didn’t disappoint! I have always loved shooting Kodak gold in 35mm and the colors are just as beautiful in 120. I’ll definitely be buying it again in the future. So glad that Reformed Film Lab had it in stock right away!!
