It is a good film stock that is a respool of Kodak movie film, which is a good thing.

This current production run of Reformed 800 is superior to some respects. The film cartridge is metal and will fit in Leica rangefinders (the previous cartridges were a little too big.) The cartridge also now has DX encoding. These are nice improvements. However, versus the obvious competitor in Cinestill 800t, I think Cinestill still has the upper hand. Nominally these are both just Kodak Vision with remjet removed, but having used both in similar situations it seems Cinestill has retained a slightly better dynamic range in daylight. The ISO 800 rating is a bit too optimistic for both, but for daytime use Reformed 800 leaves a lot of grainy muddy shadows even when metered at ISO 500 while some sunny highlights are blow out. For night time use, both offer comparable performance. For the price, Reformed 800 is a good value but perhaps there is still room for improvement.

Cheaper cinestill 800. Happily surprised that there were no light leaks.

Great 800 ISO option for the price. Has great character, too.

It's like the other 800T film but at a better pricepoint. Can't go wrong with it!

The Reformed 800 Night Shots film worked beautifully during the day in my Kodak M35 point and shoot. Beautiful results!
