“Definitely a different experience working with this film. I really enjoy it. In most situations I found the tones beautiful. Look out for a lower dynamic range, lower clarity, and larger, more prominent grain (of course all this can be used for good, just know what you're using). I will also note: exposures and colours can work a touch more easily with overcast light, and until I saw a review of this film in this setting I did not care for the sample images I saw.”

“Phoenix is a highly underrated film stock. I shot a roll year, and wasn't impressed, but I went back and rescanned them, and tweaked the colors, and it came out significantly better than my previous scan. A true dark horse of a film stock that needs to be shown more love.”
