“Not sure if the installer is the problem or the fire place itself. Sadly, the glass always turns black after each use, so we can not enjoy viewing the flame. I know it needs cleaning once in awhile, but we didn't expect it to go black every time. Also the flame is blue (not yellow) and the tile on the wall above the unit gets so hot, you can not touch it or you will get burned...(Is it not vented properly??) Somehow it feels like either the gas fitter did a slack job (should we be worried? dangerous??) or the Regency unit is a lemon. Either way we are very disappointed. (we have tried to get the installer back twice with no real solution).”
