“I've tried a few brands of this type of resin, and the Resin8 stuff has to be my favourite. I've never had sticky uncured patches with it, and it cures solid within a day or two (I tried a Gedeo one marketed as eco-friendly, and in thinner pieces it stayed bendy for weeks). I've used it in both moulds and pouring art and it performs well with both (although with more detailed or deeper moulds I'd use Fill-It), and after some initial teething problems I'm now getting consistently good results. I now keep a heat gun and long handled lighter on hand for popping bubbles, and I've learned how much I can mix and use in one batch, before it starts to set. I'd say this is quite a beginner-friendly resin, as long as you've checked that it's right for your project and learned basic health and safety. It's really good for jewellery making, and if you've got any paint pouring experience it's really good for getting similar effects. It doesn't give off a strong smell like one of the cheaper ones I've tried, and I've never had any health concerns with it. There are definitely cheaper resins out there, but this one is the best quality I've tried, and worth the money for consistent results.”
