HWY 133 Raw Denim - Raw 2 Raw 2 / 28 / 32" Reviews

What was it used for? Casual, Date Night, Camping, Travel, Out On The Town
I've often raved about my experiences with Roark's consistently true-to-size garments Well, finally had a little hiccup with the fit of these jeans - leaving an opportunity to review their simple, painless return process It was bloody fast too! Popped the package into the post Monday afternoon. Had the trousers Friday morning. That's across international borders, from deep in the desert all the way up here to the frozen tundra. Can't get a postcard across this tiny town In a week, myself. Incredible service The pants themselves are also great! Roark's pushing ahead by introducing hemp (13%!) into their denim to create a more sustainable fabric for the future. It's tough as nails too.. slightly rougher to the touch, but in a good way. The kind of jeans that make you feel like sliding down the side of a mountain just to break em in a bit!

Don't usually pay attention to reviews, but I've got to agree with complaints about inconsistent sizing of these jeans. I've got lots of Roark and they're generally true-to-size, whether it be shirts, jackets, pants, or in this case, jeans. I've got two pairs of Hwy 128s and they fit exactly as expected, so when my old black Levis finally bit the dust, I replaced them with Hwy 133s. Beautiful jeans, gorgeous shade of black, but very baggy; like a full size too big - and this is supposed to be the "slim" cut! So I sized down for the next ones and they are super tight! I realize it's raw denim, and a completely different fabric formulation than the other pair, but one size down is a full 4" smaller in the waist. Even the cuffs measured 12" (as opposed to the 14" listed on the tags) They're the tiniest jeans I've ever attempted to wear. My feet actually (M size 9) can barely squeeze thru the openings The tags also suggest not washing these jeans at all, and if that's the intention, they should be purchased 1 or even two sizes bigger. And I would have to concur Denim's really nice, too. 13% Hemp so they're a slightly different color, a little stiffer than their pure cotton counterparts and - I can't stress this enough - a completely different cut than the black 133s. These are true old-school, skinny-legged 'cigarette' jeans. Just ordered a 'cowboy pant stretcher' and if that doesn't work I guess I'll break down and order another pair a size (or 2!!) up

The why 133 raw color fits smaller and tightly then the others 32 size colors. .fit like 30/31 and less flexible. Make sure to take 1 size bigger in this one..bit disappointed
