While I'd have to agree the color's not as pictured, I like it. Looks more like real grass straw than the golden brown in the photo. Roark does a pretty good job depicting colors accurately, but it's not the first time I've received something that looks brighter or darker than it does on the site. Not a deal breaker and in Roark's case, the product usually looks BETTER in person
On to the fit. I'm a bit of a hat junky (7 1/4) and my medium sized head is right between their S/M & L/XL which luckily for me, means I can wear both; my Manawa Tapu fedora is a S/M and I've got a bunch of Roark buckets in both sizes. I thought I'd go big for a floppy sunhat like this and it was a wise choice
I've got a bunch of straw hats, from genuine Panamas down to paper ones from the dollar store, and this one's flawlessly constructed. The wind string's a nice touch too. Nothing more hilarious than the sight of a man chasing his hat!”
“Unfortunately the other reviewers were right about this, the color is a sickly dull greenish color, doesn't come close to the warm golden straw in the photos. The brim also came with a significant fold in it from the way it was positioned in the box. Pretty bummed, it was a cool design but it's an immediate return for me.”
