“I got a pair of these for our Turkey trip and they’re incredible. They breathe, don’t look like polyester, but refuse to wrinkle, stain, or smell (an olive oil spot came mostly out with a Tide stick), and are good for hiking through ruins, or wearing to dinner with a collared shirt. I’m getting another pair before our next trip, and they will be the only two pairs of pants I’ll take.”
“I made the purchase after months of hesitation. I'm glad I bought them and wish I did sooner. They do NOT feel cheaply made. They feel high quality. They look very good, and don't wrinkle. They are a cotton/synthetic blend, so they are soft and attractive and quiet like cotton but also stretchy. They are comfortable to the skin, and also ergonomic. You don't feel restricted. The hip pocket for phones is great and discrete. They dry VERY fast. I went from a nice dinner one day to hiking in them the next. I crossed a river in them, and they dried off in minutes. Items in your pockets don't feel like they are digging into you. The belt loops can accommodate normal size belts, even thick leather ones. The color (dark khaki) looks nice. They don't make noise when you walk. They fit very true, so if you are on the upper edge of a size, or you like to tuck in your shirt, definitely go one size up. I plan to buy the gray and olive ones, one size up. The only improvement I would recommend is the front pockets could be a little bigger.
If they ever make a slightly thicker/heavier winter version I'd highly consider that as well.”
Andrew, months of hesitation, one river crossing, and now you're buying two more. That's the Layover Pro doing exactly what it was built for. On the winter weight note, stay close, we hear you. Adventure Never Fails.
“Having worn the Traveler Pro a few times this past week, I think I still prefer the slimmer Traveler 2.0 pants. (Yes, I know you can size down to get a slimmer look, however the feel and fit is different between the Pro & 2.0 pants)
Not to say these aren't great quality, but the fit and feel just doesn't do it for me unfortunately.”
