“Updating my review to 5 stars, because Roark read my complaint about the drawstring and offered to replace them with a different pair. I would have rated these 4 or 5 stars easily at the outset, except the drawstring closure comes loose constantly. I'm 5'8" and 150 pounds, so pretty average build, but no matter how tightly I cinch and tie them, double-knotted, even, within minutes I feel them sliding downward... and any use of the zipper fly messes up the knot altogether, so I need to untie and re-tie every time... well, you get the idea. Pretty much everything else about them is great. Fabric, fit, quality, appearance, etc are excellent, but they sit in my drawer unworn because I don't like the pants-falling-down feeling.”

“Favorite shorts ever. None of roark short line up hs failed me and this product does not disappoint. Fit is great and true to size wtht their other shorts. I wear 28 in board shorts and XS in running. Love the fit. Only thing I'd change is shortening the zippers just a bit. The feel excessive when zippers are open. I have 2 pairs and will be adding more”
“I don't write reviews, but had to leave one here--if you're interested in the Layover 2.0 shorts, buy 'em. You wont be disappointed. I've lived in them (camping, backyard firepit hang, work) since they arrived last week and they are hands down my new favorites. The cut is great, sizing is true (although the drawstring and stretch will definitely allow for more range), and the detailed features are insane. One feature called out in the description, but I didn't fully appreciate until wearing them: the draw string runs through the entire waistband (as opposed to only attaching at the front like most boardshorts) for a very comfortable fit. Well done on this one!”
“The fit is excellent. The material is just stretchy enough and the pockets are perfectly designed. They are the best board shorts I have ever had and I have been surfing since I was six years old. At 82 I still surf Canoes Surf three times a week. As you might imagine, I have had my share of board shorts. Keep up the excellent work.”
