“We had high hopes for incorporating Ruff Greens into our dog’s meal routine. But our dog rejected it. We tried the recommendation of making a “broth” after she initially rejected sprinkling it on top of the food. That didn’t work. Then we cut the portion in half. That didn’t work. Then we cut the portion in one quarter, but still had to add some other flavorings to hide whatever it was that was bothering her about the Ruff Greens. When you open the bag, the smell is pretty potent. And of course, a dog’s sense of smell is much more acute than a human’s. I’m sure it’s a great product, but it didn’t work for us. I paid about eight dollars for the trial bag, which is reasonable. What I really did not appreciate is that you are required to opt in to a monthly subscription just to get the trial bag. I really hate when companies do this, and I think it’s underhanded. It’s much more ethical for the company to allow you to buy the trial bag, and then come back and place an order later if you like the product. But the way it is, the customer has to go back into their account, or call customer service, to manually deactivate the auto subscription.”
“My dog has enjoyed Ruff Greens. She eats it easily and quickly. She has some challenges but not physical. We bought her about seven years ago. She was apparently poorly treated before we obtained her. A veterinarian suggested we get a second dog. We did and it worked out very well. Unfortunately, the second dog a Doberman, had to be put down a few weeks ago. He suffered from Wobblers (a simple name) but he was also 11 years old. A great dog. May get another dog too ease here loneliness.”
