“I was excited to grow something purple from the 'happiest place on Earth', Bhutan.
Sure enough, it grew tall with dark sage colored leaves, buds turned a beautiful purple, and it smelled like minty lavender tea, as Mandala described. Trichomes never turned cloudy, grown indoors or out. I cured it for over a month, and then finally smoked some. And didn't like the high at all. It was uncomfortably anxiety inducing. My brother who enjoys sativas also grew it, and he called it 'Purple Paranoid Valley', and had to give it away because he didn't like the way it freaked him out.
I like Mandala's stuff, and have grown five of their other strains, however this weed was the complete opposite of their description of "calming, relaxing, sedative." But if you're a fan of edgy sativas, you may want to try Purple Paro Valley.”
“These can get pretty huge outdoors and will need support frames to hold their branches during wet, windy weather. Most show some very purple flowers from the NZ indica side but there are some that don't and those can have some insane branching patterns and will need some selective pruning to get the airflow through the canopy. Height could be an issue so topping and training will be needed if you are keeping things stealthy. Mid to late October finish at 51 lat with minimal mould. Breeders description spot on for aroma and flavour, not the strongest effect but works well and if extracted makes hash similar to old Leb types. Always good to get a couple of these out as an insurance if the season turns snotty. Blessings to Mandala!”
