Northern Lights Regular Sensi SEN235 2018 outdoor in yard with many fruit, vegetables, ornamental plants/trees which all get powdery mildew. I only had 2 of 10 germinate. Seedsman took care of me. I thought NL description when I read/ordered 2018 and why I purchased was “mold / mildew resistant”, I don’t see it in the desc now, I could be in error. I’m reporting for my west coast USA region the two NL plants had by far the most with what I (other experienced growers) believed was powdery mildew in about 70 spots over entire plant about 3 feet high at the time. While other Seedsman various plants only had a few spots. NOTE - I did no preventative spraying, only sprayed after PM showed. 1. (all plants) I sprayed with Potassium Bicarbonate which absolutely does NOTHING to stop or slow PM on all plants not just NL, (don’t waste your money). Very thorough soakings including underside of leaves, 3-4 applications according to directions. 2. On the NL I then tried Costco Organic whole milk at whatever ratio the internet said, i forget now. When wet the white PM (or whatever it was) disappeared but drying was still seen. Applied milk spray 2-3 times, full soaking, including underside of leaves… did nothing to stop or slow PM (white). 3. I’ve given up on the NL and then tried isopropyl alcohol at some ratio which I’ve forgotten, 3-4 applications, no help. 4. The grow store then pushed this junk Trifecta by Crop Control which was about USD150 per quart. four applications on schedule, It did nothing for the PM. I’ve never had a problem with insects in past 2 years but maybe these products prevented other pests/diseases so they may have helped and wasn’t a TOTAL WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY? I note the grow store no longer carries Trifecta. 5. Lastly I sprayed with Organocide 3-In-1 Garden Spray and all white (PM?) was erased from eyesight the next day. The NL were growing fine, dark green, tall and bushy. I gave up on my plan to breed a NL with another Seedsman plant because of the above issues so when one NL maled I killed it. The last NL flowered. I gave up on the NL early on and it’s only in a 25 gallon fabric pot. This plant had about three golf ball sized areas of Botrytis (bud rot) in late September/October. The Homer at the grow shop told me to give my plants some nitrogen during flowing which messed up the plants into growing (stretching) and that’s why I think the buds aren’t so thick? 2019 I'll be looking into "preventative" disease control. No one has smoked this plant. Image gallery https://postimg.cc/gallery/jy8w51yo/
