“At this point in time, I am generally pleased with how things are going but it has been a strange ride. Right from seed (I bought a 3 pack) I have had a lot of inconsistency with this strain. One of the seeds was much smaller than the other two and I was concerned that it may not be viable. It did end up germinating, but 2 days after the others and the day after it got the first pointed leaves, it wilted and appeared as though it would surely die. The other two were developing nicely. Within 24 hours though the wilted seedling stood itself back up. After 2-3 weeks had passed I had 3 Alaskans with 3 very different personalities despite being treated the exact same as the others. One was hearty and growing aggressively, the wilted one now looked healthy but she was a dwarf, and the third was somewhere in the middle displaying acceptable and expected development. Now, 3 1/2 weeks into flowering, the dwarf has made a valiant effort and is flowering better than I expected, the aggressive one is only slightly larger than the dwarf but showing a surprising number of bud sites. The middle one now though has turned into a hulking beast and is taking over the grow space and continues to stretch, quickly approaching the light that is as high as it can go. I have had to bend down and tie the main cola and one other branch as they were in danger of growing into the light. All are flowering nicely with many promising bud sites and a great fragrance. The buds are starting to develop a nice sparkle as trichomes blanket them...except for the huge hulking beast. Despite her crazy accelerated growth, the maturity level of her buds is about 4 days behind the others. I just hope, that when all is said and done, that there is at least consistency in the final outcome. The yield looks like it could be impressive but only time will tell how comparable the quality is from one to the next.”
