“Ordered 3-seed pack from seedsman on 20 Aug 17, seeds shipped on 22 Aug, received seeds around 28 Aug.
Dropped first seed into water on 17 Oct 2017. Planted in starter pellet on 18 Oct. Sprouted on 21 Oct. Topped her at 13 days old and fluxed her (advanced LST technique) for the remainder of her vegetative cycle. Up-potted to 3- and then 5-gallon pots, burying the stem to keep her split close to the soil. Put her into 12/12 53 days after sprouting. Due to the training technique, she was about 5" tall (from dirt) and had 14 main cola sites with 8 smaller "sub-colas" when flipped. If only I could post photos with the review. Gorgeous plant, very green and hardy.
Flowering stretch was not as much as expected. I had her in a 2x2x4-foot tent, so I had height concerns, but after upgrading the flowering tent to 20x36x62 inches, she had more vertical space to work with. She ended up with 17 (!) colas, some of which were too heavy for her to hold up. I wrestled her into a tomato cage, which (along with gardening wire) helped hold up those floppy colas.
Trichomes were cloudy enough for harvest at 8 weeks and 3 days after flipping to 12/12. Dried low and slow in the fridge for 7 days, then began the 4-week cure.
The smoke in a Journey 3 is very pleasant. It has a fairly mild yet noticeable flavor that I'd classify more toward grapefruit than orange or lemon.
In an Arizer Extreme Q, I don't notice a flavor at all, but the draw is very smooth.
The high is pleasant and uplifting without leaving me twitchy. I enjoy the surge of creativity, though. All in all, a great grow, great smoke. Will grow again!”
