“I purchased my seeds early so as not to miss out. As with all seeds, I germinate them using a bottom heat pad. Of all the tomato varieties sown in the tray the Honey Bee was first up. From there the tray was placed in a mini greenhouse and when four leaves appeared potted up into small pots and returned to the greenhouse to develop a strong root system. Once that had occurred the smallish seedlings were again potted up to a larger pot and remained outdoors to harden off.
The Honey Bee plants have now moved into converted rubbish bins and are growing by the minute, still receiving regular doses of liquid fertiliser. As I have never grown this variety before the end result is uncertain but judging on their present growth pattern I’m sure they will produce the fruits for many a salad.”
