“We were due to leave for holiday when our security system stopped working and wanted a fast delivery on a new system to enable us to set up before we left home, hence the reason we chose this one as it stated "order now for same day delivery by 10pm". As soon as I pressed Pay Now, the delivery date changed to the following day - too late to set up before our holiday. This is so wrong.Since returning, we still cannot get it to link to our WiFi. The instructions are difficult to understand and printed so tiny.Still not set up and so far a total waste of money.”
“i read all of the reviews for this and although some reviews were negative i went for it anyway. I have to say after having this for about 3 weeks, it has not put a foot wrong. Only time will tell how long the system will work for, but for £150, if it lasts a couple of years then i will be more than happy. Also you can purchase only the bits that stop working, so wouldn't be a full replacement anyway. When i read other reviews people were saying it was hard to setup. Although it is not the easiest, and it does not come with instructions if you search the Annke website, you can find instruction manuals for this and other DVR's. this contains screenshots and explanations and for me to follow, was quite easy. Although i will admit, without downloading this it would have been more difficult to setup the DVR to phone app link. Apart from that it is simple plug and play, just be aware that running wires neatly takes time. but if you accept that, then for £150, this has worked great for me. if like some people said on other reviews it broke after a couple of days i would be annoyed also. one thing will say, is the connectors for the camera cables are not water tight, so i either put them in junction boxes, or made sure the connections were made inside (out of an area that would get wet), as I image the connectors would not last too long if left outside in British weather.I have the 1TB version and with 3 cameras still has about 200-300Gb left after between 2-3 weeks, so the estimates of how much memory each camera uses is accurate. fingers crossed it automatically overwrites the oldest recording once it is full... only time will tell, but i have no reason to believe it will not.All in all, I got one that seems to be working (for 3 weeks anyway). the longer it continues the more of a bargain it is! Great system for the price.”
