“ I needed an additional camera to use at the rear of my house having already got two other cameras. This camera from Topcony met the brief and at an even lower price than when I last bought the cameras with added benefit of its pan and tilt capability. The camera arrived next day and was well packaged with foam protection galore, good manual and all the bits including wall plugs and screws so everything needed to install. The camera itself is solid with high quality feel, perhaps a bit bulker than I expected mainly to accommodate the rotation function. I did not really think about a preference for the colour but struck me that white may not suit every location but was fine for my location. Not sure if an option to choose colour may be a good option.I use an app called CloudEdge on the iphone to manage the cameras so having seen it is compatible my preferred route was to add the camera to my existing cameras, I did this quickly and easily by selecting the "add camera" and following the voice prompts and instructions. I had the camera up and running within 5 mins. I did not do what I was told to fully charge the camera before installation but it registered as 100% charged out of the box so not needed.I attached the camera needing only a drill and screwdriver and aligned the camera using the iphone to set the default view, and attached the solar panel.So far the camera has worked flawlessly the remotely iphone app controlled pan and tilt allows a wide span of view although I am not sure how often it will be needed. The recording onto the MicroSD card (not included with camera) worked as tiggered by movement and so far not had many false events when wind blows foliage or birds flies so it seems to have improved ability to filter out non human movement - clever! Picture quality in both SD and HD is crisp and the night vision in B/W similarly clear.I was not too careful in aligning the solar panel except to angle it towards where the sun! It is west facing so gets most of its sunlight late afternoon but the camera is still showing at 100% after a week so I am assuming it is self maintaining so far. This is a great free addition with this camera as the recharging of my other cameras is a bit of an inconvenience.In summary this is so far doing everything I need and performing well so can recommend it.”
“ Now let me start of by saying that I don't think it's as good as a wired camera - and that's based on the Topcony camera range. But that doesn't mean it gets a bad review.A wireless solar powered camera is perfect for us. We can't get electricity down to the bottom of the garden, but I need camera coverage and this is ideal. You may need a WiFi garden extender though. But if not, you can probably get away with just having a memory card in the device.The video shows what the siren alarm is like (and I've turned the volume right down). The spotlight is surprisingly bright and the app is easy to use. The camera quality is decent, it's not the best for major distance, but performs exactly as I would expect.The Topcony customer service is top class too.”
