“Don't know how I missed this one..... an oldie but a goodie..... sort of Geogette Heyer meets Thomas Hardy... I loved its wordiness.... not as stark as Dickens nor as funny as Stella Gibbons but I enjoyed it....I wonder what other vintage gems I have yet to find....”
