A fascinating book from someone who has a serious interest that has been kindly shared with us. I think the wonderful illustrations help to make the book more appealing, but the details in the narrative are so right. It makes you feel as though you are wandering through the churches and surrounds yourself. A possible after dinner speaker?

This book is a wonderful book for peaceful moments but also great for context when visiting the locations. I enjoy taking a look around a church when armed with its history. The illustrations are also beautiful. A lovely book.

"Forgotten Churches: Exploring England's Hidden Treasures" is a captivating journey through some of the country’s most overlooked yet historically rich places of worship. This book is more than just a guide—it’s a lovingly crafted tribute to the architectural beauty, spiritual heritage, and hidden stories of England’s lesser-known churches. One of the book’s greatest strengths is its ability to blend well-researched history with engaging anecdotes. Each church comes alive not just through its physical description but through the tales of the people who built, worshipped in, and preserved these sacred spaces. The writing is immersive, making it easy to lose yourself in the fascinating narratives behind these forgotten gems. Beyond the content, the book itself is a pleasure to hold and browse. The high-quality paper, crisp printing, and stunning images elevate the reading experience, making it feel like a true collector’s item. The visuals perfectly complement the text, reinforcing the sense of discovery and reverence for these historical treasures. Whether you're an architecture enthusiast, a history buff, or simply someone who appreciates England’s cultural heritage, Forgotten Churches is a rewarding read. It’s a book that invites you to slow down, explore, and appreciate the quiet beauty of places often overlooked by time. Highly recommended for anyone who loves uncovering the past’s hidden wonders.
