“This is a lovely cozy read about uncovering the past in your own home. Of course, most of us don't live in a 300 year old building but we can live vicariously through Gavin Plumley's investigations. It is well-written and, most important to me, the photos are well-placed in the text. I hate getting interrupted to try finding the right photo for the story. Such a nice quiet book about change and permanence at once.”
