Unfortunately, yes the chrome-plated frames we have found are easily scratched by the swapped lenses if you don't swap them carefully using an exact method. This can not be expected to ask of the customer to easily swap. Therefore this issue has caused us to put the product on hold in all of the plated frame options.
At this time we will produce and sell the All-Black frames as you can swap the lenses without this issue occurring.
I have personally spoken with this customer and we replaced the sunglasses. He did not waste his money and was happy with the replacements.
