“After Connery, Moore ranks as another actor remembered for his Bond role. Suave and outstanding in all his Bond movies Moore was excellent. Octopussy remains our favorite contrary to what the so called critics have to say. Always meant to be tongue in cheek, the albeit corny one liners and actions are well placed and humorous, the action non stop and scenery outstanding. Plenty going on on this movie which seems to end all too soon for the viewer. All these elements are no longer found in current Bond movies which are clearly attempting too hard to be something they are not and never will be. Bond is fantasy fiction created purely for entertainment and the inspired and gifted scripts of the Connery/Moore days have long since vanished. Good quality DVD.”
“This was so much better than the regular version! The added scenes really add background to the story and give it's much more definition.It is really long, but as an avid Lord of the Rings fan, the more time the merrier! I did have to watch it in two sitting because it's close to four hours. So if you are not a major fan, be prepared!All the characters are able to develop better and help you see their motives and ideas more clearly.We really got to see more of the Rohan characters as well as a more in depth look at Faramir and his past.It was so great and I look forward to watching the last one!”
“Superb. Essentially a generic Blu-ray so is the same disc for all Europe. All the extras from the 2001? single disc DVD and, despite a slightly different aspect ratio, contains more of the picture. For those limited on space this Italian disc comes in a slightly thinner 12mm case.”
“I hunted high and low for this after buying a new BluRay player. I didn't want to buy all the extras again - only the ee versions of the films. The FotR and the RotK were available immediately for £3 and £5. The TT was conspicuous by its absence...after a wait of six weeks or more checking various sites it popped up here for £7. The price has increased significantly since then. Anyway, the film is of course excellent and the quality of the transfer is amazing - the sound too is excellent. If you want the ee films without the bloat content - I would go for this one. Happy now Amazon?”
“We have owned the regular version of this movie for a long time. My boys have been bugging me about buying the extended edition for a long time. Problem is, it is pretty expensive. BUT, thanks to amazon, selling used products, I was able to pick up this version for pretty cheap, and it is in GREAT condition! The boys were SO EXCITED to watch it, and LOVE all the extended parts! They continue to rave about it. So, totally worth the cost! Thanks again amazon!”
