“First of all, I bought this as a gift for a close friend with whom I subsequently watched all three movies (all in this extended/theatrical combo edition.) The movie comes as 2 discs, as the extended editions are LONG. The only downside is that you have to switch discs halfway through the movies -- sort of made me nostalgic for cassette tapes from back in the day.The box is a sturdy cardboard case with a transparent window which shows through to the image you can see in the Amazon picture.As to the movies themselves, I think it goes without saying that they're great. I pick up new things every time I watch these, and now I can do that on my own time, rather than waiting for the waste-your-entire-Sunday marathons that don't even show the full extended editions!”
