I haven't tried all the attachments yet, but the heat function works well. It's a very mild heat, but I like it. I also like the different settings, even though I have used the high setting most. “I bought this massager after hanging out with a friend of mine who had purchased it (based on reviews) let me use it for a while as we were hanging out watching tv one day. I'll say that while it doesn't have the insane power some of the other gun-style massagers, the fact that it is so easy to reach the center of your back and between the shoulder blades really makes this one more worthwhile in my opinion. For legs, glutes, and calves I think the gun-style might hold and edge, but only because of the power difference. For everything else, this massager is a HUGE value. I even bought a second one for my brother as a Christmas gift.”

“I got this due to a back spasm with an underlying chronic sciatica / scoliosis problem. It has helped me so much already, I am speechless. The heat setting is incredibly penetrating without being too hot. I do wish it had a longer battery life, and that it wouldn't automatically shut off (although I do understand that it's better for me if it does.) The fact that it has 3 speed levels and 3 different patterns is perfect, as I dislike having to go through 20 of them when I really (truly) only like using a few of them anyway.
