“I weigh 360 pounds and have broken 13 bones in my back and have a bulging disc in L3 and a synovial cyst in L5. I use this cushion in my car and it helps A LOT to relieve the pressure on my spine and those problems that I'm dealing with. The cut out, when placed properly beneath me, really relieves the pressure on the spine. The gel is pretty sturdy too and comfy to sit on. I totally recommend it for part time use. I used it for awhile at my dinner table on a hard back chair before I decided I needed it in the car. I was doing more traveling to the doctor than sitting at the table, preferring to eat from my living room chair that has another gel cushion. Anyhow, this one has held up really well so far. The gel isn't breaking down, which can sometimes happen when a very large person is using a gel product frequently. Mine looks just like the picture so I don't see a need to take another picture of it. The outside is a nice, soft furred velvet texture in gray. My grandkids just like to touch it, because it is so soft. It unzips for easy cleaning of the cover, too.”
“Some found this cushion too soft. Not I. Perhaps it has something to do with body weight. I weigh around 120 lbs. and found this cushion unforgiving on my tailbone, in spite of the gap there. The pressure on my butt cheeks was numbing. It just doesn't work in my easy chair, however it was pretty comfortable on a hard seated chair. I haven't tried it on a long car trip, but it might be helpful in that situation. I'll update this review if so.”

“I like the concept of this, but it doesn't work for me. The quality it high, but the padding is too stiff (although it does get "softer" once your body heat warms it up. Personally, the shape of this cushion does not fit me well. It seems intrusive on the back of my bum...kind of like it's in the way. I think this product could work for others, it just doesn't sit on my bum well. I will not be using it.”
“Purchased this for my husband. He spends almost 12 hours M-F traveling or sitting in his work vehicle. He developed serious hip and back pain that was disabling. “I bought this mainly for a kneeling chair that I am trying to use more often to help improve my posture. It has a seat that gets uncomfortably hard over time. This cushion helps, but it is less firm than I expected it to be. However, I use the Comfilife cushion on other chairs and I find that it makes those chairs feel better so I would say overall it is a good product.”
