“I got this to use cold on low back pain (since diagnosed as facet join arthritis). The size is very good and can be folded in half to better suit the area to be treated. I find it works really well to fold in half lengthwise. Then when it starts to be less cold (takes awhile), I just reverse that fold and voila, more cold. It seems to get and stay colder than others I have. I keep it in the freezer and it doesn't take long to 'recharge' between uses. It's made of a heavy duty yet pliable material (molds nicely to my back) with bound seams. No extra cover necessary which I particularly like although you shouldn't place next to bare skin. Seems very sturdy and durable. I have a couple of different brands and sizes of ice packs and this is by far my favorite. Have not tried it as a hot pack. I'm very happy with the purchase.Edited to comment on other reviews noting a chemical smell. I do not recall any offensive odor from the product and even if there was one, it's long gone from being stored in the freezer. Still very happy with the product and would buy again.”
“I have neck and shoulder issues that are aggravated when I spend too much time on the computer. I saw the great reviews of this product and decided to give it a shot. I love it! The heat is just what I need for my muscles and the weight of the bag is perfection. An added bonus? I can walk around my house while using it. I don't have to sit still because a heatIng pad is plugged into a electrical socket. Finally, I prefer products made in the USA so this is fits the bill.”
“Roscoe Gel Ice Pack is fantastic to have around the house. I like that you can heat them and freeze them alternating from hot to cold. In addition, the gel packs let you mold it around any body part that pains you.I bought two. I love the gel pack, Ice, or heat pads.”
“Comfortable and does the job of both a heading pad and an ice pack. I have one that is about twice this size, but I ordered this one mainly to fit across my forehead. It's the perfect size to put on my forehead for migraines.”
“I really like this pack. It reminds me of the pack I used to get at physical therapy. Even after being microwaved so many times, it's still soft and warm and retains its texture. I've been using it on both of my shoulders and my elbows after workouts and home physical therapy sessions.”
