“The strap mechanism with Velcro secures quite well and is convenient. However, the support underneath the chin that is supposed to prevent the chin from dropping in the mouth hanging open is very thin and weak fabric so that it stretches out and does not really hold the jaw together at all. Also, the engineering is not thought through. Instead of the jaw support pulling straight up and supporting the jaw in its natural position, it pulls the jaw backwards against the TMJ joint which can result in irritation to the joint. Needs lots of work to be functional.”

“Finally a comfortable solution. I've endured the white one piece strap for years. It was hot and itchy but did the job. Then I tried multiple types of adhesive strips. Nope. This chin strap is thin enough to be comfortable but strong enough to stay on. Easily adjustable to many head sizes.”

He had another one issued by his doctor, but it continously would slip off his hair and either fall off during the night or be so loose that his mouth would open. This one is perfect. It stays on. It provides full support. And it is breathable. Would buy again. Highly recommended. Also, the closure is unique... it is a type of hook & loop, but it is fine so it doesn't stick to everything or scratch his face. We've never seen it before. It is a nice feature.”
