While suffering from a mild attack of yet-undiagnosed-cause sciatica, I used this device on the lowest position. It didn't seem to help to hinder, but it's reasonable to expect any tangible effect to take many days or weeks.What a surprise that the day after using the device just that one time, in the morning, while getting up from a chair the sciatica kicked in with an excruciating severity that I could never imagine. For the rest of that day I was unable to walk.
