“In the past I've been uncomfortably aware of wearing dress socks; always sliding down and having to pull them up, feeling self conscious of crossing my legs and showing bare skin, not to mention the itching from synthetic materials in the sock. These elegant socks from Fort Belvedere solve all of these issues, and are so comfortable that I forget I'm even wearing them. Furthermore, the shadow stripe colour combinations make these socks versatile enough to wear with many outfit combinations and levels of formality.”

“Recently I may have been a little harsh and unfair in my review of this item that I received from Gentleman's Gazette Shop. I, in no way, meant to convey the impression that the product was not of the highest quality of material and workmanship. It was my misunderstanding that caused the negative review. In addition, both the staff and the owner reached out to me to confirm that my problem was addressed and that I was completely satisfied. I intend to continue to purchase from Gentleman's Gazette Shop and I would recommend them to a friend.”

Dear Robert, I am sorry to hear you did not like the socks. As outlined in the description these socks must be washed to fit the proper foot. Sounds like you did not do that. If you had returned them to us we could have exchanged them for the right size in case that was an issue but you always have to wash the socks first.

“I've been an over-the-calf guy with wool socks for years. These were my first pair of nice cotton over-the-calf socks and I couldn't have made a better choice. They breathe excellently, because they are quality over-the-calf socks they stay up and never shift, and they look great. I typically tend towards more restrained clothing and it's difficult to find socks that hit that perfect medium between subtle but still interesting. These hit it right on the mark. The way the colors blend when stretched with all the shadow striped socks is a marvelous effect. I would definitely recommend these socks. The royal blue on navy is extremely versatile, they probably get the most wear out of my trio of Fort Belvedere Socks. They are a staple of my wardrobe in the warmer months. If temperature is not a concern for you though they fit all seasons color-wise.”

“I have a dozen pairs of shadow stripe socks from Ft. Belvedere. These navy/blue ones are probably the most versatile. I of course wear them with navy trousers, but they also work nicely with dark rinse denim. As with all my Ft. Belvedere products, the quality is superior.”
