I've just worn a pair for the first time. I was impressed with the quality of the knit and toe area. The socks stay up perfectly. The socks are thin but beautifully crafted. I've already received comment and was seeking that 'special' something to separate me from the hordes. I'm optimistic they will hold up.

Quality socks that feel good and look good. I don't know of any other places where I can get such a product

" What was your problem before you had Fort Belvedere products?" My plain, wool hiking socks were fine enough for the business casual setting where I work. That said, I've been looking at improving my wardrobe in general, and these socks caught my eye. "What changed because of us and our products?" I found the site's articles and videos to be interesting and informative. With the info provided here, I feel that I have a better idea of what I want to do with my outfits. The site itself seems to have a nice selection of quality products, and I intend on buying several more items from here. Good job! "How do you feel now, what changed, what do others say?" I feel happy with my purchase. The socks are rather thin, but that's going to be great in the upcoming summer. They do seem to crease a bit around and above the ankle, but I'm not sure there's much I can do about that. I'm 5'4" (looks like 162.5cm) and bout the socks in small. They can reach just over my knees (with a little room in the toes), but they don't really stay up there. So it seems I can either just deal with them below the knee, or fold the upper part over. That seems to work well, but I don't know if it's recommended. The socks are very smooth and they look great. One "downside" would be that since they're thin, I've realized that the thickness of the other socks I was wearing was compensating for loose shoes. Yet, this is fortunate because now I know to wear these socks when trying on new shoes! So the looseness of the shoes may be uncomfortable now, but these socks might have saved me from buying the wrong shoe size in the future. I'll just have to see how that turns out. Nobody has commented on these socks yet, but people don't see them much. A better fitting pair of pants might help, or it might not. But regardless, I'm really enjoying them and that's what counts. So I'd recommend these, though it'll depend on one's budget. Perhaps buy one pair first like I did, then consider more in the future.

This was my second purchase with Gentleman's Gazette/Fort Belvedere. Like my first, this one did not disappoint! I wanted a quality pair of socks with some style and that's what arrived! I cannot begin to describe the frustration resulting from trying to purchase dress socks that both look fashionable and fit properly while having small feet (mens sz 7). Thankfully, Fort Belvedere has arrived to ensure that I never have that problem again. They feel great, look great, and people love the added style they provide my ensemble.

This was my first foray into luxury sock as I've worn run of the mill, mid-calf ones for years. they were a tertiary choice as the ones I wanted more were sold out in my size but they can still go with a lot of wardrobe items I have, for cooler months, at least. The packaging, both for transport and the socks themselves, was definitely what you'd expect from the Gentleman's Gazette, understated yet also charming and functional. The socks themselves are quite gorgeous in person and definitely add some pop to an outfit. The first time I tried them on I expected them to be softer but since I've nothing to compare them to, I can't speak to this with any certainty. That being said, after only having them on briefly, I forgot they were there except for the portion that fits at the very top around the calf itself, though I suspect that awareness will fade as I wear over the calf socks more frequently. I've worn them with single monks and derbies and they've been comfortable with both so are good with different sizes and styles of toe boxes. I can't yet speak to their longevity but will hopefully remember to update this review after more time wearing and laundering them has past.

I own many pair of these socks. This particular pair had a flaw in them but the return process was easy and a full credit was issued. This is the first item I’ve had with any sort of issue, so I am not concerned, especially given the prompt response by the company.

My experience has always been that either I find good looking socks that are unfortunately short and low in quality, or they’re long but ugly. Discovering gentleman gazette and the products from Fort Belvedere changed the way I wish to present myself, and the products sold are perfect for bringing any outfit to the next level of style. These socks truly add sophistication that oftentimes no matter how much you spend, you just can’t buy. I only just tried it on, and it’s a bit long for me even though I got S, so if you’re short guy you might face the same problem. I’m 160, and it goes up to my knees. But it’s quite unlikely you’ll be as short as I am, (otherwise it’s okay the good Lord loves us all the same) so you should be fine.

Like many here I decided to give these a try at the high price tag. I was not disappointed. I really like the dual stripe a lot and found I could combine it with more things than I thought. I had to give them it a break since I only have one pair right now and want to space out its use to make it last longer. A couple of things. First, I wore the socks fresh out of the packaging and found them to be a little coarse and to have just a tiny bit of extra fabric in the toes and held (too little to be corrected by going with a smaller size). Coarse does not mean scratchy. They were comfortable but I had to get used to the finely woven cotton. However, it seems that after I washed them (in a gentle cold water in a wash bag and air dried) both of those issued were improved. The cotton feels a little softer. And the socks didn’t shrink but they did contract a little, making the fit perfect. So I wouldn’t worry if they feel a little loosey-goosey when you first put them on. Second, I wouldn’t say that the socks felt like they disappeared over the course of the day. During a full day’s wear and with normal sweating, I would sometimes notice the socks more than my previous dress socks. It wasn’t bad, just that there is an adjustment period that some of you might also experience. And hopefully they will feel better after having been gently washed. I don’t feel I have enough experience wearing these to rave about them with five stars. However, they’re great socks and I certainly loved the look—a dash of color without going overboard—and that they stayed up with no problem.
