“Never think of grey socks as a dull color. It's neutral. Which means it contrasts well with your shoes and clothing. The light blue ribbing will add a splash of color that won't overwhelm your style whether dressing up or down.”

“*For reference of the review, I am a size 11 shoe, with a slim build overall, and I ordered size large socks. These socks are beautifully crafted and definitely do their job of staying up above the calf all day. However, the fit is not quite what I was expecting. Initially they were quite large like they were advertised to be, and they shrunk up in the wash as they were supposed to. After a hot wash and a couple times in the dryer on high heat, there is still a slight bit of excess fabric around the toes and ankle, which i am not really used to. This could be due to the fact that I have wide, large feet but slim ankles. I would have liked to try the next size down, since I prefer socks to be slightly tighter rather than slightly looser. Unfortunately i made the mistake of washing all my socks at the same time, instead of doing just one first then the others, thus voiding my chance to exchange them. That being said, these are absolutely comfortable and wearable, as there is no sock bunching in the shoe, nor is there any slide down for me. Overall I am pleased with these socks, I would recommend them, but if you're slimmer in the legs and your foot size falls on the end of the provided size chart, or you are in between sizes, I think it could be worth it to go with the size down. If you are on the heavier side, especially at the calves and ankles, I think the chart would be true to size for you. I am impressed with the quality of the product and look forward to purchasing more fort belvedere items in the future.”

“Purchased these for a special occasion this summer to match with the Fort Belvedere blue-grey shoelaces. They look great with brown Oxford shoes, khaki chinos and a light blue linen jacket. “Have always had trouble finding over-the-calf sox because i have large calves. Also have had difficulty finding stylish and elegant sox this side of the Atlantic. Fort Belvedere solved both problems”
