“After 3 washes in a gentle cycle, these socks started to wear rapidly. I bought a great variety of socks from Fort Belvedere and the Two-tone socks are the ones I least enjoy. These socks are displayed as 100% cotton but the labble says 25% polyester. The Shadow Stripe ribbed socks are the better alternative, these are 100% cotton and do not show signs of wear or damage after many uses.”

How often socks are worn, how they are cared for, and the material used to make them all influence how long a sock will last. If made of a high-quality material and cared for properly, socks should last longer. When including them with your laundry, the types of detergent and wash/dry cycles you can either prolong or shorten a sock’s useful life. Also, the white yarn in the two-tone solids is tactel, a nylon microfiber. We have 4 models with that material, the other two-tone socks are also 100% cotton. We're still happy to learn that overall you are pleased with the socks. No matter the situation, we always count the wins. Thank you for sharing your honest feedback and for being our loyal customer.
