So I love the make of this. However, when I use the classic narrow spread on a classic collar I can barely get it to stay on (or even get on). I have a 17 1/2" neck so maybe that's the reason. Frankly, I end up using the spread collar clips on my classic and semi-spread and I can't use them on my spread collars. I wish there was one size up, cause they are great when they work.

Thank you for the recommendation, Dan. We're happy about the good words you have towards our product. This collar clip has dimensions of 70mm 2.75" wide - made for medium and spread collars. Most modern collar clips use inferior springs and will shift and collapse during regular wear. Thanks to our extra strong, high-intensity coils, Fort Belvedere collar clips lock into place and remain secure all day, helping you look dapper in any situation.

The Fort Belvedere tie pins and clips are lovely and well-made. However, for a number of my shirts, I struggled to use the rather narrow/small clips on the collars. The Large collar clips solve this problem. Short of a very narrow collar (where the existing smaller clips are fine) the large collar clips do the job in perfect style for wider collar spreads. I've received many compliments on the larger collar clips in the short time I've been using them. Happy to stop struggling to anchor the smaller clips to my collars!

Thank you for sharing your feedback, Peter! We're glad that the large collar clip works well for you. For the narrow/smaller clips, we recommend wearing a semi-spread or classic collar shirt or a long-sleeved dress shirt with a collar that is not too spread, so you can have the collar clip that pinches in between and keeps the collar together. Also, we recommend using a tie with a thinner interlining or no lining at all such as a grenadine silk tie when using a collar clip. Then, you want to have an oriental tie knot or a four-in-hand knot. You need that slim tie knot when you have a very small opening. I hope this helps. :-)

Very nice collar clip that stays in place well. I had a tough time getting it to reach because I have a large neck size but once in place it worked very well. I would like to see a slightly larger size for larger neck sizes and shirts with a larger collar.

Thank you, Peter. We are happy to know you liked them. Our collar clips stay in place all day because of our re-designed extra strong coils. Elevates your tie knot in a debonair way. Please note that excessively wide cutaway collar shirts should not be worn with collar jewelry as our clips will not fit them. :) Looking forward to doing more business with you.
