Recently received the Evening Scarf in Black and White from Fort Belvedere. Had been searching for good quality evening wear for some time, and the products from Fort Belvedere always deliver I find (and at a sensible price, unlike some other brands out there!) The shipping was really efficient, thank you. I received the package in just over 2 weeks, which is really good for shipping to Australia, particularly given the current pandemic. There was a small rip in one corner of the Fort Belvedere gift box, but nothing major, scarf itself was well packaged. The scarf is obviously very well made, but I do have a couple of minor comments. I was expecting a bright white silk scarf, as in the photographs, but it is more of a cream colour, not sure if this is an unavoidable production issue or a storage issue? I was also expecting a wonderfully soft silk scarf, that would drape beautifully, but the scarf fabric, while undeniably thick and of high quality, is quite stiff, and somewhat difficult to fold and drape around the neck. Only a minor point of course, and it may soften with time and wear? (or with careful washing, but I'm sure the very knowledgeable GG team can put me right on this point?) My last minor quibble is the large bright green square Fort Belvedere tag sewn on to the end of the scarf, on the white side, which I think tends to add a somewhat discordant note to the entire proceedings! (it is significantly larger that the small tag seen on the plain white evening scarf, as shown on the website) In my opinion, this ends to ruin the usual aim of understated elegance with formal wear, and I removed it immediately (but was left with a few small holes in the white silk, may have been less obvious generally if the tag had been sewn on to the black side of the scarf?) An extra tag also seems a bit superfluous, as there is already a discreet small black tag attached to the side of the scarf, which has the Fort Belvedere website details on it (along with the usual care instructions and a 'Made in Vietnam' tag) These very minor issues aside, I do like the fine quality and weight of the scarf, and its length, significantly longer and wider than the usual scarves out there, and it looks very elegant on. I do also feel that the scarf is value for money, unlike some of the other major designer menswear brands out there that I have purchased from previously, and I will definitely be placing further orders in the future from Fort Belvedere. Have not had a formal occasion to wear the scarf as yet, but look forward to wearing it in the future, I'm sure it will stand out from the crowd. Regards Jon from Kangaroo Country

Thank you for your extensive feedback, Jonathon! I apologize that the colors appear differently to you in person as opposed to in the shop. We use color graded professional monitors and lighting to reproduce colors as accurately as possible, but everyone has different screens and colors depend on the light temperature you're in. About the tag, rest assured we'll take note of it and will add it to our list of future considerations. Looking forward to your next purchase! :-)

I wish I could post a photo, because this scarf is beautiful. I wasn't particularly sure how I'd like the dual color scheme, but in fact, it is quite versatile. A wonderful piece for many ensembles.
