“I'm proud to have been able to fit out my new tux with this silk grosgrain cummerbund. The material is quite nice, I appreciate the adjustment and front button loop features, which go above and beyond a lot of cummerbunds out there. This was expensive for a Vietnamese garment, though less eye-poppingly so than the bowtie, as this involves quite a bit more material and construction. But if you have a tux made with fine grosgrain labels and braids and want to build the outfit correctly, Fort Belvedere is the only game in town I can discern. Even Turnbull and Asser doesn't stock grosgrain bowties or cummerbunds. I took the liberty of measuring the pitch of the grosgrain ribs. It is a 1mm or 0.039" pitch and is identical material, as hoped, as the "Single End Bow Tie in Black Silk Faille Grosgrain" from here.”

“This is NOT one-size-fits-all; if your waist is 36" or less, it will be too large. it adjusts larger with a button adjuster and elastic straps, but it does not adjust smaller. It's a ridiculous price for a strip of black silk with a small, metal clasp. I see nothing in fabric or construction that could justify charging twice as much as other makes. One would think that the price would be lower, not higher, than others due to the use of lower-cost Vietnamese labour in the making; I guess I paid extra for that fancy box.”

“A lovely, elegant product which is extremely hard to find. It is a shame that the button loop was not present on the cummerbund I received (thus the 4 stars).”

“As per an earlier review in 2017, there’s no button loop on the cummerbund even though Sven had commented and said that going forward all cummerbunds were to have it. Customer service was great about trying to find a solution, but I ultimately had to return it. Material is nice and high quality. A little large, will probably fit a 32inch waist at its smallest.”
