“I returned the tie because the color was more Kelly green than malachite to me. The color shown in the picture looked different with more blue/teal tones and that appealed to me.”

“This perfect silk knit tie has a unique and intense green color - I have never seen another tie in this knockout color - but it still looks natural and not neon - before these "Cri de la Soie" knit ties all my other ties were boring - my ties now look unique and meticulous and I get so many compliments, that I never had before.”

Knit ties are very flexible. If you hand them and pull them lengthwise, they will get longer over time. Also outside conditions such as heat and humidity will slightly change the length over time. I suggest you store the tie hanging and over time it will get longer.

“I decided to purchase the Malachite Green Silk Knit Tie because the shade of color in the product photos was intriguing and not quite like those already in my tie collectIon. Disappointingly, I found that nearly all of the six Fort Belvedere knit ties that I purchased are colored differently than what appears in the website's pictures, most of them to a significant degree. Perhaps the photos feature dye lots of earlier product generations or perhaps it's just a case of colors getting lost in screen translation. On average, in my humble opinion, the ties in the pictures have "bluer tones" than the ties in-person (at least at the time of this writing). Although the actual colors are enjoyable in their own right, they are not always exactly as the photos lead you to expect. It's made it hard to trust what you will in fact be getting. However, when it comes to style, quality of materials and construction, as well as elegant presentation and care in shipping, I am well pleased. This Fort Belvedere "cri de la soie" knit tie is of a noticeably thicker and stiffer weight than the silk knit ties I have worn up to this point (including Polo Ralph Lauren, J. Crew, Brooks Brothers, and Banana Republic, to give you a comparison). The higher price tag makes more sense when you have the the ties in-hand. Overall, very well done.”
