“I have yet to use them, but I'm quite satisfied with the silk laces I ordered. There are other companies that sell these laces, but I had more confidence that this would be what I'm looking for. I will be making more purchases from you.”

“I purchased pairs of Grosgrain, Velvet and Barathea evening shoelaces as well as round and flat shoelaces in different colors. First of all, I've always had laces that came with the shoes I purchased and were therefore the same color or close to it. By changing the laces to colors that pop yet compliment the total outfit, its like having new shoes which fit well and you already love. I wore the velvet evening shoelaces on black oxfords with a black velvet dinner jacket and it felt right from head to toe. I received numerous compliments at the holiday party that evening. For the New Year's Eve party I had the grosgrain laces on the same oxfords along with a blue dinner jacket and again received many compliments. The grosgrain laces are wide and really make a statement. Having these shoelaces from Fort Belvedere add a whole new dimension and versatility to my wardrobe and shoe collection. Buy some and wear them with confidence.”

“The shoelaces are nice and quite unique, however I was unable to lace them into my shoe! The aglet on the end of these laces is quite thick, and proved thicker than the eyelets on my shoes (black, Crockett & Jones wholecuts). After struggling for 15 minutes and failing to lace the first shoe, I gave up on these laces. If you get these, try them out ahead of time and make sure they fit.”

“Well made, however my personal preference would have been for the laces to have more lustre than they did. I have also seen grosgrain ribbon with a tighter weave, while these have more of a casual personality than I expected.”
