“Everyone loved the tie. I'm a tall man and even I had to be careful with the extra long tie not to leave it to long. It was a nice change from regular length ties. This grenadine tie is much lighter than other Grenadines I own. It's almost impossibly light and would be easy and comfortable to wear in the summer time.”

“Being on the shorter side, I often had to tie large knots to use up fabric and get the right length. Now I get to experiment with different knots. For the first time I pulled off an oriental knot without looking like a clown. The fabric and cut themselves look really distinguished and have a great effect that varies with distance, an exquisite touch.”

“My first purchase with Fort Belvedere and I have come away very disappointed. I brought three ties; a black Grenadine; Prince of Wales check and an Ancient Madder. The silk is wonderful, but the stitching is woefully bad. Let me state that I have watched Sven's video on how to remove ties, so I know I'm not doing anything wrong. The Grenadine's keeper loop stitching failed on two of the corners after wearing the tie twice. I've had to tie knots in the thread to stop them unravelling further. Next, the Prince of Wales check's keeper loop started to fail in the same way, I've worn it three times. Of the three, the Ancient Madder seems the best, but even that has a problem, the keeper loop is actually a little too small for the width of the tie. Not a show stopper, but I don't think it's unreasonable to expect better for $125 each. One final note, I'm not angling for a big discount, I want quality. In fact, should I order again, I'd like to forgo the 10% discount for placing this review. I don't want it. Instead I'd like Fort Belvedere to take that 10% and give it to whoever is packing my order with the instruction that they are getting it on the condition that they properly check that what I've ordered is defect free and up to the high standards Sven has for his own wardrobe.”

Dear Mr. P, I am sorry to hear that the loop stitching came off. It is not the norm but since it happened on two ties, we will investigate. In regard to the loop width, I have never noticed that one was wider. We want to make you happy and reached out to you via email.
