The brown grenadine tie by Fort Belvedere is now my answer to any doubt I may have when coordinating my neckwear with almost any combination I can create with my jackets, shirts and pocket squares. While I have only worn the tie twice, each time receiving several compliments, I have tried it on in front of the mirror with at least five different outfits and the brown grenadine works with them all. From grey flannel to earth toned tweeds in windowpane or houndstooth patterns to navy/blue suits to linen in cream or tobacco, this tie runs the gamut across the formality spectrum and the seasons. This tie, dare I say, I find more versatile than the quintessential solid navy tie, since I find it dresses up or down much more easily and is more interesting since it is far less common than the classic navy tie. Prior to purchasing the brown grenadine I frequently would reach for my brown ties I own in various small patterns, usually featuring blue and/or grey. While I still highly favour blue/brown combinations for ties, they tend to pair up with my outfits with varying degrees of success, and of course, sometimes the patterns just don't work with other patterns, mostly because of scale. The solid brown tie doesn't suffer from that problem! So, in summary, I have a work-horse tie that is extremely stylish and of very good quality. As a result I feel I will be able to step out in confidence that I'm looking good for many years to come with my brown grenadine. Highly recommended!
