“We make our own bread, so the size of slots in a toaster need to be large/flexible to deal with different sizes and thickness of slices. The toasting length of time and quality of heat are also important in dealing with the widely differing flour and other ingredient mixes used.
The slots work well; the controls are simple and easy to used - being placed on the front face. However, the maximum time is not long enough for many 'proper' bread mixes, and the continuous heat intensity throughout the cycle can burn thinner edges if the crusts are already well-baked.
But, for the money, it passes muster, overall, and is also reasonably well-made and looks fine.”
“Absolutely love this neat compact 4 slice toaster. Excellent service from Swan. Other style toasters are so bulky and take up way too much room. I hope swan continue to make this style as they seem to still be popu;ar. Unfortunately nice 4 slice long slot toasters are really hard to find in shops now. Bring them back!”
