With a stainless steel interior and exterior on both the container and the lid (coloured flasks are painted on the outside), you can keep your food chilled for up to 9 hours and warm for up to 7 hours. In winter, warm casseroles and soups.As with all vacuum insulated bottles and flasks, for maximum hot insulation, pre heat the flask with water from the kettle for 5 minutes and then fill. If your flask is completely filled (no gaps) it should still be holding around half of its original heat the end of the insulation period. Opening during the 7 hours, not pre heating or not completely filling (including filling with a non-liquid based food) will reduce the insulation period (this applies to all insulated flasks and bottles).The inside of the lid is stainless steel so there's no plastic touching your food.
