Certified OrganicHypo-allergenicBudget FriendlyGrey water & septic safePlastic Free PackagingSoapberries are a natural alternative to powder and liquid laundry liquids. Sometimes called soapberries or soapnuts, they are the dried shell of the fruit from the Sapindus Mukorossi tree. They are most prevalent in the Himalayas. The shells are wild harvested from pristine mountains my small local communities using sustainable practices. These discarded shells, once collected, are dried and ready to be used as a cleaning agent. The shells are high in saponin, which is a natural foaming soap. When used in a load of laundry, they reduce the surface tension of the water so it can remove dirt, leaving the fabric soft and clean. They are suitable for babies, people with sensitive skin, they're fully compostable and are chemical free, grey water safe and septic tank safe. They eliminate the need for fabric softener too. While the soapberries themselves have a smell, they don't leave any lingering smell in your laundry. If you like your laundry to have a scent, simply add a few drops of your favourite essential oils to the wash.Weight - 250gWashes - 90+ loads of laundryHow to use - Place 5 soapberries in to the small canvas bag provided and place them in your washing machine. Each set of berries will do approx. 5 loads of washingMade In - Australian company - soapberries hand collected from the HimalayasPackaging - The soapberries come in a canvas drawstring bag and are now in a paper bag on the inside, making them a plastic free product. While they don't leave any smell on your clothes after washing, the raw berries do have a lingering smell. If you purchased food, beeswax food wraps or anything else delicate that may pick up on the smell, we may protect either the soapberries or other items in your parcel with an exterior plastic bag so the smell doesn't cross over on to other products and ruin them. This is always done with plastic bags we re-purpose and recycle from other product packaging. We do not buy them in. You can dispose of them through the recycling program REDCYCLE. If you do not wish us to do this, please let us know.

I was really interested to see how these organic soapberries would work, and have been truly impressed with the outcome. So much so I have already got some friends to try. I put a few drops of my favourite essential oils in the wash with the bag of soapberries and the clothes come out soft, clean and smell beautiful... So happy to find this product

As someone who has a real problem with chemicals , these are great for my skin . I love that the water from my washing machine can go into my garden and the left over berries go into my compost . So great !

These seem to wash clothes well - I haven't tried them on really dirty clothes as yet but what has been washed came out clean. Great product.

Love this product! No need for rinse cycle. Only thing is telling when to discard. Have read that can be boiled to use as a general cleaner after using in laundry.
