“The construction is excellent, as expected from Showers Pass. The color is bright and easily seen. the front vents are ample and useful without letting in rain. I like having the hood be removable, as I generally dislike hoods. It feels good to wear, especially with the vents open.
On the negative side, the front vent zippers are located close to the pockets, and i frequently find myself searching for the pocket zipper and confusing the vents and pockets. The vent zipper is stiff, making the jacket feel stiff, especially when bending forward. If I were able to find the jackets in a store, I'd likely have gone with an XL to make more room for bulky layers. I'd certainly have tried that size.
I miss buying my raingear from a local retailer so I can support my mechanics and community. I bought this online because retailers don't sell much bike specific clothing, and hence don't stock much. This forces us to buy online, contributing to the enscheissification of bicycle businesses.”
