Dear Barbara, I have just seen this review. A 4m comes in two section's as standard and as per our descriptions in the product online. I am gutted you have left a 2 star review however if the section has came in 3 1m sections its alarming as it isnt a 4m handrail. They come as standard in 2.2m and 1.8m and join in th middle. I will gladly sort if thats not the case. Dan
