“Perfectly situated at the edge of the village, amazing views from every window, excellent cuisine and very friendly staff. Sitting in the hot tub looking down the valley every evening was just amazing, especially the night the cloud rolled in over the top of us, very atmospheric.”

Very pleased to hear you enjoy the situation of the chalet. The hot tub is indeed a highlight of most guests, with the view up to the waterfall one way and down the valley on the other. Hopefully you'l get to soak in there again next year!

“We had a great holiday and I would thoroughly recommend Ski Peak and indeed I have already. This is the second time I have used the company but if you are looking for improvements I would say the following... The chalet was very nice but not quite as luxurious as I was expecting from the photographs. I think it was because we were in the smallest double room with a view of the car park and it was on the tight size for 2 people. It might be worth getting rid of the chest of drawers to create more space and just add a smaller bedside table. We only slept there so it wasn't a problem and the bed was very comfortable but since you asked... The games room is also very cold and so wasn't used as much as I expected. The website suggests there are board games but there isn't a great choice. This year we didn't bring any from home so found it quite limited. The hot tub and veranda are great. The food was delicious but some in our party found breakfast very slow and on a couple of occasions gave up waiting for the special to be served as they needed to leave. If we had had to rush to ski school this year this could have been a problem. The servings size for the children's evening meal was small and on the second night they were still hungry. We did mention this to the staff and it was rectified but 11-13 year olds can eat quite a lot of starchy foods but may not be so keen on vegetables! The transfer was very good. I don't like to sound like I am complaining but I hope the above is useful constructive criticism.”

Thank you for your helpful comments here. There are many games in the chalet but there are also many places that they could be placed to keep out of the way! I imagine some of them were in the other wing, downstairs, in one of the cupboards or draws etc. In any case, we shall buy some more. We have also decided to discuss catering options with families before, as it appears that this year the portion sizes and foods offered at time needed addressing. It's always good to have areas to think about and improve on so thank you

We always try to listen to our guests and your suggestion of a clock from last year hit a note with us - it was a great idea and a missing piece to the puzzle. Glad you noticed it :-)

“Lovely chalet & wonderful views. Boot room & heated boot racks still a problem since there is no longer a Ski Peak van service to Saskia & carrying boots up & down the hill is not my idea of fun. Drying room was needed on the day it rained but Charlie took clothes through the staff accommodation to the boiler room (not accessible to visitors).”

Wonderful views are indeed a highlight. Sorry to hear that you struggled with carrying/walking in your ski boots. I'm sure Charlie would of helped with this too!
