Description
The Raptor Boom Mower Attachment system for Skid Steer and Compact Track Loaders is an industrial grade side-reach system of mowing attachments. These attachments are compact and easy to transport while providing exceptional cutting capacity and reach for a skid steer boom mower. For operators looking for a top-of-the-line mowing system, the Raptor combined with any of Eterra's 3 mower head options is the ticket. The different mower head styles allow you to customize your unit to best suit your needs whether that's a more aggressive cut capacity or longer reach and cutting width. The Raptor Boom features a 10' reach from the center of the quick attach, and combined with a mower head attachment averages 14' of reach plus the lift of your machine's arms.

Completely interchangeable with different brands and sizes of machines. Run it on a Bobcat one day and a John Deere the next.
Hydraulic rotary actuator acts as a break away to protect your boom arm and mower head from damage if you hit a stationary object. Resets with the flip of a switch. Allows you to cut in the side ways position, and forwards as well as park the arm forward for easier transport.
Full angle rotation allows the operator to cut flat overhead and angle down deep into ditches.

Eterra Sidewinder Flail Mower: A monster when it comes to roadside mowing. Cuts tough brush and small trees with ease. Combines power and speed with reach and durability.
Eterra Razor Sickle Mower (5', 7' or 9'): Cut up to 2" wide material safely and effectively with no throw-back or damage to surrounding areas. Extreme reach ability.
Controls
New Super Controller Included with Purchase: Dynamic control option allowing for multi-functional use. Ergonomic joystick design to allow for natural operation feel. Most machines allow for 6 controls maximum which makes for difficult operation of machines with more than one function. The super controller boosts your control ability to ten controls at a time so you can now utilize multiple hydraulics at once. Available in two options.

Custom designed hydraulic block is specifically engineered and manufactured for eTerra in the USA. This is not an off the shelf pieced together control. It has all of the functions and controls handled internally meaning you can adjust the flow to the head, pressure to the head and bleed out for the controls all on the block. This makes for very stable and easy to operate controls. This has taken us many years to perfect and you will notice the difference if you have run other hydraulic controlled implements. This is not your average mower. Eterra and Skid Steer Solutions are not your average companies.

“Thanks for emailing me about a review. Iâ€™d be happy to tell anyone about how happy we are with this attachment. Weâ€™ve bought two of the eterra boom mowers and I can attest to the fact that these attachments just work and work. They build them heavy enough so you can hit a full on tree and probably only notice a paint scratch. We use it to maintain our ditch lines more and more and the neighbors are starting to put in their requests haha. Thanks SSS. Itâ€™s a great skid steer attachment.”

“I have miles of private roads that overgrow during the summer. I use this to mow the road sides and down into my ditches. With the Cyclone mower, I can cut some pretty big branches with ease. The unit arrived quickly and ready to use. Took me about 30 minutes to learn how to use it. The quality of this product is amazing. You can tell that someone really cared a lot about what they were doing. Seems a shame to use it, but I must. Based on the quality of the Raptor, I would never hesitate to buy another Eterra product from Skid Steer Solutions.”

“Hey Skid Steer, I guess itâ€™s time to review. Well, weâ€™ve had this for about 2 years or a little bit under. It cuts like it should, swings like weâ€™d expect it too and itâ€™s cutting more material than our brush cutter so iâ€™d say we like this boom mower a lot. If I ever need another mower, iâ€™ll be back. Have a great spring.”

“The Raptor Boom Mower is one of a kind and definitely has it's place in our tool box. I manage a 10' wide asphalt trail in Colorado and we use the boom mower to keep the shoulders free of brush and to keep the sightlines clear for safety. The mower works great! The only issues we've had to date involve the hydraulic hoses and fittings. The fittings seem kind of cheap and we've had to replace several, hence the 4/5. However, the customer service has been great and any issues we've had have been resolved in a very timely manner. Overall, we are very excited to have this piece of equipment and look forward to using it again when the warm weather returns.”

Woohoo! That's what we like to here. We've heard many similar stories from customers who do ATV trail maintenance with this Skid Steer/Compact Track Loader Side Mowing Attachment and they love this attachment for just that. We assure you the fittings are not cheap, they are USA made. The only problem we've experienced was with our US suppliers hose crimps. They were needing to be replaced but we have since resolved this issue and ensured the units don't leak or etc. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, never hesitate to send a photo in for a reward. “Hi Folks, First off, I appreciate the service y'all offered all of the way through the first time I called, through figuring out financing options and then making sure I have the right head on the arm for what I am doing. I appreciate not being sold something I do not need and you were all about that, that's hard to find these days. So thank you and I'm glad I went with the cyclone rotary. As for the boom attachment or Raptor as you call it, its a solid piece of equipment. You can tell that whoever is building these darn things doesn't F*&% around and does some nice work. When it came to using it, I'll say this. It's the best ditch mowing and limb eating attachment you can find anywhere for a skid steer. Will it out do a full 30 ft. reaching tractor mower. No... but it'll get the job done and then some for my jobs and it definitely is worth the price tag as it is not something cheap. I'd recommend this attachment to and operator wanting to add ditch mowing to there services. All the best this year solutions, I'll be calling for a sickle head soon enough! Steelman Brothers LC”
