Eterra 4 Foot Skid Steer Trencher Description The Eterra 4-Foot Skid Steer Trencher is built for digging clean, consistent trenches with high torque and precision. Powered by a planetary gear drive, this trencher delivers maximum torque to cut through soil, clay, and rocky ground with ease. The 70/30 chain design, featuring 70% aggressive tungsten carbide cutter teeth, is engineered to handle tough ground conditions by concentrating cutting force where it's needed most. The carbide teeth grind through compacted soil and rocky material efficiently, reducing strain on the trencher and maintaining high digging speed. The trencher features an adjustable skid shoe to maintain a consistent digging depth, while the manual side shift allows operators to adjust trench placement without repositioning the machine. The boom and crumber come fully assembled, reducing setup time, and the 18-inch auger discharge efficiently clears soil from the trench. Available with 6-inch or 8-inch chain widths, the Eterra 4-Foot Skid Steer Trencher is a powerful tool for utility, irrigation, and drainage trenching, built to handle demanding jobs with a flow rating of 15-20 GPM. Trencher did job as expected. Tightener for chain bent because the bolts that secure bar slipped. Had to watch the buildup of dirt behind the auger shield to keep it from getting into auger. I was happy with everything else, went through hard pack clay with tree roots and only got hung up on one that i had to cut with chainsaw after i dug it out with backhoe. Did everything expected just wished the bolts that secure bar had another one or bigger

Hi Erin, Thank you for the review! We looked into why the dirt might be building up. Our suggestion is give it another try at a slower rate and see if that helps prevent this issue. If this does happen again give us a reply with your phone number and we will have a Sales Rep give you a call. All the best, Skid Steer Solutions

Our first project was about 100 yards of trenching and all went with no problems. Delivery was painless with the skid steer. The staff has been great to work with.

I decided to buy a trencher after several local contractors told me “NO-WAY” would they dig a trench where we are located in the southwestern ridges of Pennsylvania. I know why now. The 400’ x 36” deep trench should have gotten me arrested for machine abuse. So many rocks and small boulders. The Eterra couldn’t dig the larger rocks up - BUT - it would hook onto them with the carbide “shark-teeth” and we used the skid steer boom to “rip” the boulders from the trench. This is one tuff trencher and I definitely would recommend it !! Thanks Skid Steer Solutions... Jeffrey F.

Hey Jeffrey! Glad to hear you're happy with the Eterra trencher. These attachments are built with the knowledge that operators are going to abuse them day in and day out! We're sure the trencher won't hold it against you. Thanks for taking the time to leave a review, and let us know if you need anything else! Best regards, Skid Steer Solutions

I've cut through roots and rock with this tool. The extra rock cutters are especially a time saver and much needed addition. I did have a tooth come off because I needed to cut through a rock. I was impressed by the performance. There was no other option and the tool held up to the challenge. Job well done

So far I’ve dug about 1200’ of trench 32” deep. It does well and the skid plate works well to keep the depth consistent. I’m pleased with it’s performance so far. The soil has been mostly dirt so easy digging. It did well going across a gravel driveway also. It was shipped needing some assembly. It wasn’t too complicated to assemble, I did call customer service to make sure I put it together correctly as it didn’t come with clear instructions to follow. I would’ve given it 5 stars had I operated it for a longer period of times and knew how well it would hold up.
